IndiGo has added a new non-stop route between Delhi and Colombo, giving travellers between India and Sri Lanka a direct alternative to connecting flights for the first time on this city pair.

The new service launched on March 29, 2026 and operates six times a week using an Airbus A320. Flight 6E 1169 departs Delhi at 18:40 and lands in Colombo at 22:20; the return flight, 6E 1170, departs Colombo at 23:20 and arrives in Delhi at 02:55 the next day.
Why It Matters
Delhi-Colombo joins IndiGo’s broader Sri Lanka network, which now totals more than 55 weekly flights from five Indian cities. A direct service removes the layover that previously added several hours to the journey, making short business trips and weekend leisure travel between the two capitals considerably more practical.
